Report: Cowboys are signing safety Juanyeh Thomas

According to FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz, the Dallas Cowboys are signing safety Juanyeh Thomas, a reported move that brings him back to where his NFL career began. Schultz reported Tuesday that Thomas joined Dallas as an undrafted free agent and played 36 games from 2022-2025, recording 62 tackles, 5 PBUs and 1 forced fumble.

Keel Stats data lists Thomas with the Dallas Cowboys for the 2025–26 season. In 7 games, the safety recorded 27 total tackles and 14 solo tackles. Those are the player figures available in the data for this season, while Schultz’s report supplies the 36-game, 62-tackle, 5-PBU and 1-forced-fumble totals from his earlier Dallas stint.

Dallas entered its listed team data at 1-2. The Cowboys rank 3rd in offensive EPA and 32nd in defensive EPA among 32 teams. The difference between those rankings provides the team context for the reported addition of Thomas, whose available 2025–26 line is centered on tackle production across 7 games.

The report describes a signing and a return to Dallas. Its stated prior-Dallas totals are 36 games, 62 tackles, 5 PBUs and 1 forced fumble. The available current player line is 27 total tackles and 14 solo tackles in 7 games, alongside a Cowboys team line of 1-2 and a 32nd-ranked defensive EPA.
