Game card: Seattle Seahawks 14, Denver Broncos 17, with each team's leader

The Seattle Seahawks (3-2) bring the NFL's second-ranked pass defense to Denver to face a Broncos offense (3-2) that is 27th in passing yards, with kickoff Thursday, October 15, at 8:15 PM ET at Empower Field at Mile High.

Denver averages 188.4 passing yards and 19.4 points a game, 26th in scoring. Seattle allows 166.8 passing yards and takes the ball away 3.2 times a game, second in the league, so Bo Nix has little room for a mistake.

The other side of the ball tilts toward Seattle. The Broncos give up 145.2 rushing yards a game, 29th in the league, and the Seahawks score 26.8 points a game, eighth best. Seattle's rushing offense is softer, 18th at 106 yards.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has 583 receiving yards and seven touchdown catches for Seattle, but he is questionable with an ankle injury. Sam Darnold has thrown for 755 yards in four starts.

Nix has 942 passing yards, and J.K. Dobbins leads the Broncos with 229 on the ground. Zach Allen paces the Denver defense with four sacks.

Cornerback Pat Surtain II is doubtful for Denver. Cornerback Riley Moss and safety Talanoa Hufanga are questionable, and linebacker Jonathon Cooper is out. Seattle lists running back Jacardia Wright and cornerback Terrion Arnold as out, and quarterback Drew Lock is questionable.

Seattle lost 32-29 at home to San Francisco last time out. Denver beat the Chargers 23-17 on the road after a 24-14 loss at San Francisco.

Sportsbooks' prices give Seattle a 57% chance to win and Denver 43%.
