Game card: Houston Texans 34, Jacksonville Jaguars 31, with each team's leader
The Houston Texans (1-4) and Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1) meet Sunday, October 18, at Wembley Stadium in London, with Houston's pass rush facing the NFL's stingiest run defense. Kickoff is 9:30 AM ET.
The Texans average 4.2 sacks a game, second in the league, and Jacksonville has given up 277.2 passing yards a game, 30th. Trevor Lawrence may spend the afternoon under pressure.
The other side of the ball is tougher for Houston. The Jaguars allow 63.8 rushing yards a game, the fewest in the NFL, and the Texans rush for 79, 31st. That puts the game on C.J. Stroud, whose 280.4 passing yards a game rank fifth.
Stroud has thrown six touchdowns and no interceptions in five starts. Nico Collins has 19 catches and three touchdowns in three games, and Will Anderson Jr. leads Houston with 8.5 sacks.
Lawrence has 10 touchdown passes and three interceptions for Jacksonville. Parker Washington leads the receivers with 352 yards and four touchdowns, and Bhayshul Tuten has 349 rushing yards. The Jaguars' offense ranks third in efficiency with an EPA per play of 0.175.
Houston is without running backs David Montgomery and Noah Whittington and safety Jalen Pitre, all out. Receiver Treyvhon Saunders is questionable. Jacksonville has cornerback Montaric Brown and long snapper Ross Matiscik out, and cornerback Devon Marshall is questionable.
The Texans have lost four of their last five, including 34-30 at home to Dallas and 36-31 to Buffalo, but won their latest game 26-3 at Tennessee. The Jaguars have won four of five, the latest a 19-17 home win over Philadelphia.
Sportsbooks' prices give Jacksonville a 57% chance to win and Houston 43%.
