Ty Jerome made two free throws with 11.6 seconds left to close it, and the Memphis Grizzlies held off the Utah Jazz 110-105 on Monday, October 26.

Jerome had 15 points and 8 assists on 4-of-15 shooting. Two of his jumpers in the last three minutes kept Memphis in front, the second off a Zach Edey assist. The 16-footer with 2:15 left came after Utah had cut into a lead that once stood at 16.

Memphis (4-0) led 87-71 late in the third quarter, its biggest margin, after a 10-0 run in the first quarter had put it up 23-17. Utah (1-3) never led by more than four. The game had only two lead changes.

The Jazz outscored the Grizzlies 29-21 in the fourth quarter. Airious Bailey's pullup jumper made it 106-103, and Mo Bamba's dunk made it 106-105 with 1:01 left. Jaylen Wells hit two free throws for 108-105, and Jerome's pair set the final score.

Cedric Coward gave Memphis 16 points and 11 rebounds, a double-double, and made all four of his 3-pointers. Jerami Grant added 13 off the bench, which produced 48 points for the Grizzlies.

Keyonte George led Utah with 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting, plus 8-of-9 at the line and 6 assists. Darryn Peterson scored 14 but made 5 of 18 shots. Bamba shot 7-of-8 for 14 points and four blocks.

Memphis made 16 of 37 3-pointers to Utah's 10 of 33, a gap that outweighed the Jazz's 14 offensive rebounds. Utah won the glass and still shot 41.3 percent from the field.
