Game card: Houston Rockets 132, Milwaukee Bucks 100, with each team's leader

Houston outscored Milwaukee 34-14 in the second quarter, behind Fred VanVleet's 24 points, and the Rockets beat the Bucks 132-100 on Wednesday, October 28, to improve to 5-0.

VanVleet shot 7-of-14, 4-of-9 from 3-point range, and added 6 rebounds and 5 assists in 29 minutes. Amen Thompson made 10 of 16 shots for 23 points. Kevin Durant had 18 points and three blocks.

Houston led 23-21 after the first quarter and pulled away in the second. An 11-0 run around the start of that period made it 31-21, and the margin kept growing.

Milwaukee led only early, by three points at 3-0 in the first quarter. Houston's lead reached 35 in the fourth, when Bogdan Bogdanovic, who scored 16 points off the bench on 5-of-6 shooting, hit threes with 27.1 and 13.5 seconds left to make it 132-97.

Tyler Herro led Milwaukee with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 19. Gary Trent Jr. made a 28-foot step-back 3-pointer with 1.6 seconds left to set the final score.

Houston shot 54.8 percent and made 17 of 38 threes. Milwaukee made 12 of 41. The benches were close, 48 points for Houston and 46 for Milwaukee, and Milwaukee's 14 offensive rebounds to Houston's 8 did not close the shooting gap.
