Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 34 points and the Oklahoma City Thunder outscored the LA Clippers 12-8 in the final five minutes to win 108-101 on Sunday, October 25.

Gilgeous-Alexander shot 13 of 26 and added six rebounds and five assists. Ajay Mitchell scored 18 off the bench, and Isaiah Hartenstein had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Oklahoma City (3-0) trailed 39-32 midway through the second quarter, the Clippers' biggest lead, then scored 34 points in the third to take control. The game had nine lead changes and 12 ties.

LA (1-2) stayed close into the fourth quarter. Rui Hachimura hit a 23-foot three-pointer and Derrick Jones Jr. a 25-footer, but Alex Caruso's tip shot, Jalen Williams' dunk off a Caruso pass and a close-range basket by Mitchell kept the Thunder ahead.

With 1:14 left, Gilgeous-Alexander made three free throws, two of them on a flagrant foul, for a 106-99 lead. Darius Garland's driving layup cut it to 106-101, and Chet Holmgren made two free throws with 14.2 seconds left to close the scoring.

Garland had 16 points on 7-of-17 shooting and 11 assists, but he also turned the ball over five times. Kris Dunn scored 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and stole the ball five times.

The 26 Clippers turnovers and Oklahoma City's 15 offensive rebounds covered for a Thunder team that made only 8 of 24 three-pointers.
