No-vig calculator
A sportsbook prices the two sides of a market so their implied chances add up to more than 100%; the extra is its margin, the vig. Enter both prices to see each side’s fair chance with the margin taken out, the fair odds, and the book’s hold.
Worked example −150 / +130: the implied chances are 60.00% and 43.48%, 103.48% together. Divided by that sum they become 57.98% and 42.02%, fair odds of −138 and +138. The book’s hold is 3.36%.
| Side | Implied chance | Fair chance | Fair odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Side A | 60.00% | 57.98% | −138 · 1.72 |
| Side B | 43.48% | 42.02% | +138 · 2.38 |

How it works
Multiplicative, also called proportional: each side’s implied chance divided by the sum of both. This is how Keel Stats takes the vig out of the sportsbooks’ moneylines in its game previews, so the numbers here match theirs.
Additive: the same share of the margin taken off each side, half of it in a two-way market. It leaves the favourite a little higher and the underdog a little lower than the multiplicative way.
Fair odds = 1 ÷ the fair chance. Hold = 1 − 1 ÷ the implied chances added up.
Arithmetic on the numbers you enter, for research. It is not betting advice: Keel Stats sells no picks and links to no sportsbook. Responsible gaming
